The Artist
Hello dear one,
Welcome. My name is Peta. Mother, storyteller, woman of the Earth, creative, natural light photographer.
For as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated by how a photograph can hold a moment still… gifting us the opportunity to fully-experience and appreciate, the exquisite beauty around us. The beauty in the ordinary. In the sacred. In vulnerability. In connection. In joy. In love. In new life. And in death. In all the seasons, and all the cycles, of this one, wild and precious life.
I value deep presence. Intimacy. Slowness. Stillness. I live life with intentionality and gratitude, seeking to honour a pace that allows me to notice and recognise the wonder and beauty in the everyday. It is an incredible honour to be given the opportunity to witness a fleeting moment that may otherwise not be seen or fully-felt. To reflect the beauty and magic of life back to you. To preserve something so precious and ephemeral.
Storytelling is in my bones. It is part of my life-walk here on Earth - to leave a legacy for future generations; to keep the precious art of storytelling alive. Stories are healing. Sacred. Important. They journey with us through the course of time. Helping us to remember.
There is magic in a photograph. Each, a tiny thread in the colourful tapestry of the story of your life.
I create art that touches your heart. Art that makes you feel. Art that speaks without words. Art that tells a story. It would be an absolute honour to document this season of life for you.
Come, dance in the light with me… xo
Perceptiveness, sensitivity, gentleness and creativity are in my nature, and come naturally to me in my work. I enjoy making people feel at ease. Helping them feel comfortable to share the beautiful parts of themselves that they may not otherwise reveal.
My style is honest, raw and gentle. My inspiration comes from nature, and the special bonds I have with the beautiful humans I share this lifetime with – my beautiful girls, my beloved kin, and Mother Earth. It is an incredible honour to step into somebody’s world for a short time to create a photograph. Something deeply sacred. I have upmost respect for the vulnerability that comes with this, and this is how I approach my work.
I believe that life is truly wonder-full, magical, fleeting, and have an intense desire to document it. All of it.
It would be an honour to help document this season of your life. x
